These terms govern your use of ZeroCut ("ZeroCut", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
ZeroCut is a marketplace that connects clients who need work done with freelancers who do it. Clients and freelancers contract directly with each other. ZeroCut provides the platform, escrow handling and support, but is not a party to the agreement between a client and a freelancer and does not perform the work.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You must be able to form a binding contract to use ZeroCut. One person or business per account unless we agree otherwise.
ZeroCut takes 0% commission on freelancer earnings. Clients post for free. Freelancers choose a monthly plan to send proposals, and clients may optionally pay a one-time fee to feature a job. Card processing fees at checkout and bank fees on withdrawals are charged by Stripe and the receiving bank, not by us, and are passed through at cost. Plan fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.
For a project, the client funds the agreed amount into escrow through Stripe before work begins. The funds are held until the client approves the delivered work, at which point they are released to the freelancer in full.
Approving work is final. Once escrow has been released for approved work, that payment is considered complete and a refund is not guaranteed. Review the work carefully before you approve and release. If you believe something is wrong before you approve, do not approve; raise it with the freelancer and, if needed, with us while the funds are still held.
If a client and freelancer cannot agree, either party may raise the issue with us while the work is unapproved and the escrow is still held. Our team reviews both sides and the available evidence and makes a fair decision, which may include releasing funds to the freelancer, returning funds to the client, or a split. Where a return of funds is decided, it is processed manually and may take time. We aim to be fair, but decisions are made at our reasonable discretion.
You keep ownership of the content you upload, such as briefs, files and portfolio work. You grant us the limited right to store and display it as needed to run the service. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not upload unlawful, infringing or malicious content.
Do not misuse the service: no fraud, harassment, spam, attempts to break security, scraping, or moving payment off-platform to avoid escrow protection. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, legality or outcome of any project, or that any client or freelancer is suitable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZeroCut is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and continued use means you accept the change. You may stop using ZeroCut at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken or where required by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida for any dispute relating to them.
